Charlotte Moss - A Flair for Living

Why The Townhouse?

I consider myself fortunate to be a part of an industry that affords me so many opportunities to create and learn. As I prepare for the opening of the Charlotte Moss Townhouse here in New York City, I am constantly asked why I decided to return to retail.

Many people remember Charlotte Moss & Company, located on Lexington Avenue. I had the privilege to be known as an international destination for the best in home décor. I was able to intimately know my customers and enjoyed providing a wide range of furniture and decorative items based on their needs and likes. Having closed the shop in 1996 to focus solely on decorating, life is coming full-circle and I am returning to retail on a grander scale, while still offering interior design services.

The Charlotte Moss Townhouse is an opportunity to apply over twenty years of combined experience in retail and decorating to build something bigger. I can now create an environment for learning and exploration for my clientele. It is my goal to teach more than just caring for cherished possessions, but how to thoroughly enjoy these belongings.

Having taken part in many designer show houses over the years, I have always been eager to experiment with new concepts and enjoy creating rooms unconstrained by client's wishes. Like a show house, The Townhouse is a place where new collections and inventory can be continually displayed, new idea's demonstrated, and where my customers find constant inspiration while shopping in beautifully curated surroundings.

I look forward to the return of many of my loyal customers from the days on Lexington Avenue as well as a lot of new faces to enjoy this exciting new venture with me.

Warm regards,
Charlotte Moss
