Pickard by Charlotte Moss

South Hampton

We are proud to introduce the new Southampton Dinnerware Collection designed by Charlotte Moss.

The Southampton Collection is inspired by summer days when the ocean meets the sky. Sand under your feet... clambakes and hammocks... garden roses... screened-in porches... time in your garden lunch on the terrace...

This newly released Pickard china pattern features sophisticated and delicate flowers in a deep ultramarine blue. Full place settings and individual pieces are available at the Townhouse.

Elsie de Wolfe

An actress who became a decorator at the beginning of the twentieth century, Elsie de Wolfe boldly proclaimed herself the first interior decorator. Known for clearing the clutter of Victoriana, de Wolfe created fresh, bright, and simple interiors using “plenty of optimism and white paint.” De Wolfe’s home bordered Versailles, providing constant inspiration; from Marie Antoinette to the architecture, garden ornament, and treillage of Versailles’ gardens, these elements were all incorporated into her own designs, in particular, her music room in her Versailles home. This room is depicted in a water color by William Rankin, which is part of Charlotte’s personal collection.

Inspired by Elsie’s home in Versailles, the “Elsie” pattern translates de Wolfe’s passion for treillage into elegance on the table. (Photo: Bryan Gardener)

Nancy Lancaster

Best known as half of the legendary design firm Colefax and Fowler, Nancy Lancaster redecorated and rejuvenated homes and gardens with her partner John Fowler in America and England. A Virginian from a preeminent family, Nancy eventually came to reside in England where she administered the restoration of important eighteenth century estates, Ditchley and Haseley Court. Nancy was known as the doyenne of the English country style—warm and elegant interiors infused with her own imitable sense of Southern hospitality.

The “Nancy” pattern for Pickard incorporates a simple motif of bamboo style fretwork that Nancy would have combined seamlessly with her rare 18th century porcelain. Nancy knew how to combine opposites to create maximum effect. (Photo: Bryan Gardener)

Charlotte Moss for Traditions

We are pleased to announce the Charlotte Moss Collection for Traditions

William

The William Collection, inspired by the oldest son of Charlotte Moss' client, evokes a sense of strength with the boldness of youth. The cobalt blue banded linen sheet pattern is complimented by a modern interpretation of a Damask and printed on washed ivory linen. While contemporary, this collection echoes Traditions' respect for the simple and the classic. The William Linen, layered with a stonewashed basketweave matelasse coverlet, is sateen and also available in solid William Blue.

Eleanor

This whimsical floral pattern is reminiscent of the trompe l'oeil motif in Eleanor's bedroom. Easy and summery, the Eleanor Collection displays lighthearted blue carnations patterned on a white background flanked by the coordinating Eleanor Blue Gingham dust ruffles and shams. Fresh in the style of a classic toile, this collection is named after William's sister and her light filled room awash with flowers. The Eleanor Blue Gingham is also available as a sheet set or shower curtain.
