Charlotte Moss - A Flair for Living

About The Townhouse: The Third Floor

The walls on the Third Floor of The Townhouse elegantly compliment Indian Tea Paper from de Gournay with aqua striae wainscoting. The Bedroom features a four poster bed dressed in blue Edith's Reverie, a fabric from Charlotte's collection at Brunswig & Fils. Bed linens, including Charlotte's line for Traditions and embroidered patterns from Valombreuse, are showcased in a fully fabric-lined closet. A dressing table in front of the window captures the eye with an extensive collection of old and new decorative accessories. A roomy seating area sets a mood of elegant comfort and warmth with upholstered furniture designed by Charlotte. A vignette of porcelain and tole flowers placed on decorative wall brackets adds interest and beauty to the walls.

Collections of limited edition and out of print books, many of which are signed, fill the shelves of the gunmetal grey Library. Roman Shades bordered in an embroidered tape by Penn & Fletcher explode in a bright persimmon orange. In the adjacent Cabinet of Curiosities, Charlotte's constant search for the rare and unusual is highly apparent. 18th and 19th century dioramas, exotic angel skin coral branches mounted on rough cut jasper, bronzes, vintage ivories, and a collection of Wedgwood Basalt all live together, tucked in the back of The Townhouse.
